LETS TALK ABOUT

TAROT

What is Tarot?

  • First appearing in the mid 15th century as a card game for royals, Tarot was not used for divination until the late 18th century

  • The traditional tarot deck contains 78 cards: 56 suit cards (like a regular deck, but with an extra court card per suit) and 22 Major Arcana, or trump cards, each rich with archetypal imagery and symbolism

  • These 78 cards are said to hold every story that exists—each card reflecting a facet of the human experience, from joy and heartbreak to transformation and renewal.

Will the cards predict my future? What if they say something bad?

This is by far the most common question I am asked in regards to tarot/intuitive readings!

I approach tarot as a way to tap into the energy around your situation and receive messages that are relevant for you right now. The cards can offer insight into patterns, possibilities, and the direction things may be heading if you continue on your current path, but they do not dictate what will happen.

While the cards can be difficult (“hey! lets deal with that challenge you have been avoiding”) none of them are “bad.” I can promise you, I am not here to predict any set events or scare you into action.

What can I expect from a Tarot/intuitive card Reading?

My Tarot readings begin with a short grounding/breathwork exercise to bring intention into the space. From there, I will pull cards and arrange them into a spread tailored to your reading.

Tarot is a way to invite insight and clarity from beyond our everyday awareness. Sometimes the cards offer gentle encouragement; other times, they deliver firm truths, drawing our attention to what we might be avoiding.

My readings are highly collaborative. I offer my interpretation of the cards, but place great emphasis on what they bring up for you. Your intuition and instincts are a big part of the reading, and together we feel into the symbolism and transmute those symbols into guidance.
